French court: Twitter's terms and conditions violate user privacy

A French court sided with a consumer group in its case against Twitter over its terms and conditions, Phys.org reports. UFC-Que Choisir claimed Twitter’s terms and conditions had 256 clauses it believed violated users’ privacy. The court ruled in UFC’s favor, meaning users’ photos and tweets can only be “commercially exploited� when they have given their consent. The tech company received a fine of 30,000 euros and has a month to appeal the decision
